Jakarta, January 26th, 2026 — Sriwijaya Capital, a Southeast Asia–focused private equity firm, announced an investment of up to USD 20 million in PT Sumber Energi Surya Nusantara (SESNA), a renewable energy platform accelerating solar power development across Indonesia. The transaction, completed today, marks Sriwijaya Capital's entry into the energy transition sector and is its maiden investment.

"We see tremendous opportunity to back a renewable energy platform at the forefront of Indonesia's energy transition," said Arsjad Rasjid, Founder and Chairman of Sriwijaya Capital. "SESNA is one of the key renewable players in Indonesia with proven execution capability that aligns with our conviction on Southeast Asia's decarbonisation opportunity. This investment supports SESNA's growth and Indonesia's ambition for sustainable, long–term industrial competitiveness."

Hartanto Tjitra, Chief Executive Officer of Sriwijaya Capital, added: "We partner with promising businesses to scale them into leaders in their industries. SESNA has demonstrated exceptional capability and commercial discipline in executing its renewable energy projects. We are committed to working closely with Rico and the team to unlock value in the platform and expand SESNA’s operations and footprint."

Rico Syah Alam, Chief Executive Officer of SESNA, stated: "This partnership with Sriwijaya Capital is a significant milestone for our company and validates our strategy to scale renewable solutions throughout Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Sriwijaya Capital's strategic capital and institutional network will accelerate our ability to deliver renewable energy projects at scale, while our approach remains grounded in strong fundamentals and measured execution, in support of Indonesia’s transition to cleaner energy.”

As an active partner, Sriwijaya Capital will deploy its "3Cs" approach – Capital, Collaboration, and Capability – to support SESNA's growth. The partnership captures strong momentum in Indonesia's energy transition. The Indonesian government has established a clear Net Zero Emissions (NZE) target for 2060, creating opportunities for renewable energy developers. The combination of Sriwijaya Capital’s backing and Indonesia’s substantial renewable energy potential gives SESNA a robust foundation to drive significant growth and long‑term value creation.

SESNA brings proven operational capability and a portfolio of ground–mounted and rooftop photovoltaic systems, including Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS). The company has successfully developed over 30 Megawatt–peak (MWp) of operational solar projects with BESS, with more than 450 MWp in the development pipeline, positioning the platform to deliver renewable solutions at scale. The investment by Sriwijaya Capital will support the development of a 262 MWp solar farm integrated with an 80 Megawatt-hour (MWh) BESS in Central Sulawesi.
